Resuvo

Resuvo stores your resumes locally on your device. AI writing and PDF resume import send relevant resume text to our servers and AI service providers for processing. Exporting and sharing are controlled by you.

Information you create in the app

Resuvo stores the resume information you choose to create and edit in the app. This may include professional profile details, resume content, and optional media you add yourself.

  • Personal and profile details such as name, headline, email address, phone number, location, LinkedIn URL, and website
  • Resume content such as summary text, work history, education, skills, and custom sections
  • Optional profile photo you choose to add to a resume
  • Template and style preferences associated with your resume

How your data is stored and used

Resuvo stores your resume records locally on your device.

We use your information to let you create, edit, preview, organize, and export resumes inside the app. We do not require an account or mandatory cloud sync for the core resume workflow in the current iOS version.

AI-powered writing and import features

When you choose to use AI features such as summary generation, bullet-point generation, text polishing, shortening, skill suggestions, or AI-assisted resume import, the relevant text you provide is sent from the app to our servers and then to the AI providers we use to generate the requested response.

We use AI request content to operate the AI feature you requested and structure imported resume content. We use related technical metadata to manage usage limits, verify paid access, and protect the service from abuse.

We use third-party AI service providers to process the resume text needed for your request and generate the requested response.

  • AI requests are only triggered when you actively use an AI feature
  • The text sent may include the profile details, experience, skills, imported resume text, or other resume content needed to generate the requested output
  • AI requests may include technical metadata such as app version, app build, platform, a randomly generated client identifier, device security verification information, and purchase verification information so we can manage access and protect the service
  • Our servers also record operational information such as IP address, request time, request identifier, task and model, response status, and processing time for service operation and security

Resume import and OCR

If you choose to import an existing PDF resume, Resuvo reads the PDF you select so it can extract resume text, detect pages, and prepare an editable draft.

In the current iOS implementation, Resuvo uses on-device PDF text extraction and on-device OCR for PDFs that do not contain reliable embedded text. The extracted text is then sent to our servers for AI processing to organize it into editable resume fields. You can review imported content before saving it as a resume.

  • Resume import is user-initiated
  • PDF resume import sends extracted text for AI structuring rather than uploading the full PDF file
  • Resuvo does not upload the original PDF during resume import. You choose whether to export or share files.

Photos, exports, backups, and sharing

If you add a profile photo, Resuvo may ask for camera or photo library access so you can take, choose, and crop that image. The profile photo is stored locally on your device and may be included in exported PDF resumes or backup files you create.

The app can export PDF files, and it can generate backup files containing resume data and optional photos. Those files are created for your use and are shared only when you decide to export, back up, import, or send them through system sharing features.

Purchases and Apple services

The current iOS version uses Apple's in-app purchase framework to manage paid access. Apple may process billing, subscription, refund, and entitlement information according to Apple's own policies and terms.

We do not receive your full payment-card details through the app.

What we do not currently use in the iOS app

The current iOS app does not require account creation or cloud sync and does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or crash-reporting SDKs. The operational server records described above are separate from these SDKs.

Retention, deletion, and your choices

Because the app is currently local-first, your resume data generally remains on your device until you edit or delete it. Deleting a resume in the app removes that record from the app's local storage.

If you uninstall the app, locally stored app data may be removed by your device. Separately exported PDFs or backup files remain wherever you chose to save or share them.

Our servers process resume text and generated responses to complete your request; they do not provide cloud storage or a saved history of your resumes or AI responses. This is separate from the operational and security records described below and does not mean that every service involved in processing a request has zero data retention.

Our servers store technical records for usage limits, purchase verification, and device security, and generate operational logs. Some temporary records expire automatically. Device security registration records do not currently have automatic expiry. These records are separate from the resume documents stored on your device.

Deleting a resume or uninstalling the app does not automatically delete these server-side technical records. Data processed by third-party AI service providers is also subject to their applicable retention rules and service settings; deleting local app data does not trigger deletion by those services.

You can contact [email protected] to request deletion of personal information held by us or ask about information processed by our service providers. Please do not send your full resume or identity documents with your initial request.

You can stop sending resume text for AI processing by not using AI writing or PDF resume import. You can continue creating and editing resumes manually. Camera and photo access can be managed in your device settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. If we add new SDKs, permissions, cloud features, analytics, or materially different data flows, we will update this page before or with that release.
